Lotus Bloodstock is a second-generation Arabian farm. The first
generation was Carl and Dorothy-Helen Huprich of Huprich Arabians,
founded in the 1940's and based on the Image son Raflage, acquired from
Roger Selby. Another significant early broodmare was the Indraff
daughter Draffna, acquired from Alice Payne. One example of their early
success is the stallion Desert King, shown below.

Desert Vienna, pictured at age 4 a few months off the racetrack. She is
also a "Most Classic" winner, at age 2!
Great-granddaughter of Desert King, pictured above, she is by Ramses Rasul out of a daughter of Gai Marquis. Rasul and Marquis are included on the "Reference Stallions" page. She is an example of the fourth generation of the Huprich Arabians program. She is now owned by Lotus Bloodstock. One daughter is for sale, by CWP Chances Are. Please see her on the "Mares for Sale" page. She had a beautiful bay filly in 2006 and will be rebred to National Champion *Fairview Klassique. |

Pleasure, Stock, and winners in most classic, races, competitive trail and
endurance. We've owned or bred several Aristocrat broodmares (Desert Twilight,
US Top Ten Sura Lark, Zahr el Beda++, Gahlan, Khatee), and are researching
Draffna and a couple more mares. Another of our broodmares, the
unshown Desert Bell, has produced 3 champions so far and we hope she'll also
become a rare and valued Aristocrat broodmare.
We have completed the dispersal of the horses from the Estate of Carl Huprich; my sincere thanks go out to all the purchasers of these 55 Arabian horses!
Congratulations to Mohegahn F on his 2000 US and Canadian Top Ten Futurity wins,
nice additions to his US Top Ten Yearling award.
He is the sire of the young show Grand Champion gelding Desert Copper, who is for sale.
